Painting the World Since 1760.
Berger Paints had its colourful beginning in 1760, when Lewis Berger, an enterprising young German chemist had his big breakthrough. He had perfected the manufacturing process for Prussian Blue, one of the most important pigments of that period. This achievement marked the arrival of Berger Paints as a modern paint manufacturing company. Today Berger Paints Singapore is part of the Omega Industries Group group servicing consumers across the Asia Pacific regions.
Berger has always taken pride in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across the globe and the Singapore plant is no different.
We are one of the few paint companies to have a dedicated manufacturing facility in Singapore. This gives us a clear edge when it comes to agile servicing of customer requirements. Our plant is equipped with aseptic processing areas, automated packaging bays, computerised dosing stations to create finely calibrated formulations, and a state-of-the-art R & D centre that incubates innovative paint technologies.
Our team thrives on a culture of inclusion and we lay emphasis on collaboration. Our folks have a strong sense of ownership and revel in the open and interactive work culture. Innovation and invention are of prime importance in any organisation and in our industry, doubly so. Performance and agility are highly valued at Berger Paints. Diversity is cherished and nourished, as we believe our people’s unique perspectives can add strength and creativity to the Berger offering.
Continuous learning is the key to the growth of the individual and the organisation. Training forms an important part of the experience at Berger Paints – leadership qualities are reinforced, and competencies are upgraded.
Being closer to our customers means many things. It means being present in locations where they can reach us. It means working closely with them to understand their needs. Responsible Corporate Citizenship
Berger Paints is committed to sustainable development with minimal impact on the environment. The first step towards achieving this is waste minimisation and conservation of resources. We focus on the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This has helped us minimise material losses in the last few years.
Our paint plants are moving towards generating zero industrial effluence and zero hazardous solid waste. We’ve upgraded our effluence treatment facilities, installed reverse osmosis plants, and instituted appropriate recycling and reuse schemes. These efforts go a long way in helping us achieve our aim for Zero Waste.
We constantly streamline and innovate with our processes. For instance, we produce large batch sizes to help us achieve substantial savings in resources deployed. We’ve created bulk storage facilities for monomers in order to reduce wastage. We’ve also improved our incinerating systems and implemented reverse osmosis.
We prioritize the health and safety of our employees, our service partners, the communities near us, and our customers. We do this by implementing ‘safe design’ at every step of the process and creating a culture of safety in the organisation. Our products and processes have been re-engineered to be green and environmentally friendly.
Our safety mantra is three-fold: zero accidents, zero occupational illnesses, and zero incidents of property damage.
Water scarcity is a real and pressing concern all over the world and conservation is at the heart of everything we do.
We lay strict emphasis on statutory compliance. In fact, our products go beyond the prescribed standards and offer best-in-class features. Our performance is published to our stakeholders on an annual basis. Our materials are sourced from responsible vendors that comply with child labor laws and statutory regulations.
