Epilux UHB

A two component, ultra high build epoxy coating specially formulated for buried pipelines and splash zone areas.

Epilux UHB is a high build epoxy coating with excellent anti-corrosive barrier properties and good abrasion resistance. It has excellent adhesion to blasted steel surface and cathodic disbondment resistance. It is most suitable for buried pipelines coating, splash zone and partially immersed structures.

Surface preparation

  • Epilux UHB should be immediately applied to a surface that has been blast cleaned to a minimum surface preparation standard of Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC-SP10, with an average surface profile of 75 – 100 microns.
  • For maintenance application, ensure that the surface to be over-coated is clean, dry, free from dust, grease, oil, or any other surface contaminants. Fresh water wash to remove all soluble salts.
  • Always ensure that the maximum over-coating time for Epilux UHB, is not been exceeded prior to application.

Applicaton procedure

Stir contents of the can thoroughly before use. Thinning is not usually required. However, if thinning is desired, do not exceed the recommended thinning ratio.
